Biking blues
I have a new bike that I bought just before Christmas. I have had trouble putting the miles on it since Wife and I have been running much more than biking, and it has been hard to impossible to do the two, especially with the colder weather we’ve had this Spring. When it’s cold and windy, it’s easier to run than to bike.
My average ride is about 30K, with a longer ride on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon (about 50K). I tried to map it all out on Google and here’s what it gave me. You can play with the map and see what kind of beautiful terrain the route covers. (But the map does not really work right. I can’t make it take all the small roads. But it’s not bad.)

Yeah, but it’s a good map. Makes me miss home.

…………sort of like that 3-lb. weight that lies in the floor next to my recliner……………..
But I do walk most days! Does that count?

Being the directional slug I am, somehow I missed the BLUE line and started following the RED line and thought you were going all over Eastern Europe on this bike ride! And since I don’t know a km from am/fm, I wasn’t sure just how far you were riding but I had a hunch it wasn’t up into the former Soviet Union!

I zoomed in on the acquired coordinates, recalibrating the sensors to 1.21 jiggawatts, factored in the stops you would make along the way for cheese and chocolate and believe I see your bike outside Le Chalet-à-Gobet. You must be inside refueling.

There were all sorts of options in Hawaii like bike-riding, kayaking, etc. I just didn’t want to work that hard while on vacation. Of course, I don’t want to work that hard any time. Just thinking about your course makes me tired.

I pulled a 60k in College down our coast. My butt was sore for weeks.
