22

Aujourd’hui est le 8 janvier, as they say here in Lausanne. It’s the 22nd anniversary of our arrival in Lausanne. 22 years…

22 years before I was born, World War II hadn’t yet started. 22 years from now… Who knows?

But 22 years ago today, Wife and I got off a plane with 6 duffle bags and heavy suitcases, ready for anything. (Well, nearly anything.)

And we’ll put the next 22 in his hands too. I promise.

Thanks for keeping us in your prayers.

Unfortunately, in the next 22 years you can be assured of one thing: wars and rumors of wars. God’s blessing and grace to you and your family in your work there for the Kingdom!

You and your family are in my prayers daily.

Can you imagine the MAC we will be using in 22 years?

I can’t believe it’s been that long. I’ve been blessed to be able to follow the progress of your work over the years. God has used all of you and I’m so grateful that you’ve allowed him to…and that you will continue to do so.

Here is to the next 22 years for all of us. 22 years ago, I was a little and ONLY child coming up on my 2nd birthday.

May the next 22 be more of a blessing.

Addendum: You know what? I don’t think I want to know where I’ll be 22 years from now!! :)

I have a friend who has been the minister of the same church for over 20 years. I have a term of endearment that I used to describe him and his tenure which I will now proudly assoicate with you my Swiss Brother - you are a “freak of nature” and I say that with highest regards.

In this day when ministers move in 5 years or less and most people will not know what it is like to give their lives to one career or business your tenure is to be commended.

    God bless.
