I'm pretending to say, Congratulations! Hey, I've actually found myself watching some of these games. Usually while awaiting a seat in a restaurant, but it has sparked a bit of interest. Those guys are amazing in their ability to handle a ball! They need to add goals on each side line to give more opportunities to score! Maybe even one in the center of the field. Just a thought you might pass on to the appropriate soccer people in charge.

There should have been a penalty kick for Togo (any affiliation with the sandwich chain?). But I though the Swiss were the better team today.

USA! USA!

Hey, England is SO embarrassing it'a a pleasure to root for Nati and not have to pretend!

I was proud of the passing game USA did on Saturday with Italy. Totally different team from when they played their first game. Do you think that if more of the USA team actually learn to sing the national anthem -- high notes and all -- that might help them with their focus on getting the ball inside the goal? I realise most of them just got their green cards, looks like they could show a little gratitude. :)

Now if they can just be a bit more disciplined and stop choosing to be stupid with the red cards!

I didn't get to see much of the first half. But since the ETH is broadcasting three TV channels on their subnetwork I took time off to watch all of the second half. They did look sharp! And Togo is no slouch team, in general the African teams have incredibly talented and dangerous players. (They seem to be lacking mostly in discipline and efficiency.) I was impressed by the Swiss defense and passing. I'll certainly be pulling for the Nati. Hopp Schwiiz!
